As the country makes bold steps toward digital inclusivity and making sure the digital economy is thriving, the Internet Society Zimbabwe Chapter is set to host the Her Digital Edge Indaba 2025, a flagship women-in-tech gathering aimed at equipping women to lead Africa’s digital transformation.
The event, scheduled to take place at the Cresta Sango Hotel in Harare on the 12th of September ,is expected to bring together over 300 women leaders, change-makers, and innovators from across Zimbabwe and beyond.
The Her Digital Edge Indaba is designed to empower women through digital skills, foster inclusion in the digital economy, bridge policy and practice, and catalyze partnerships and investments. The event will feature inspiring keynotes and panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities.
Participants will have the chance to learn skills in areas such as AI for productivity, AR/VR creative applications, digital entrepreneurship, and personal branding in the tech space.
The event will also feature an expo with over 20 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge products, services, and solutions in technology, creative industries, and business development.
The Indaba builds on the momentum of the Empower Zim Women Project by Internet Society Zim, which has already trained hundreds of women in digital literacy and cybersecurity across Zimbabwe’s underserved communities. The event is expected to shape inclusive digital policies and environments, create sustainable opportunities for women-led digital initiatives, and position sponsors as leaders in gender inclusion, digital innovation, and community empowerment.
The Internet Society Zimbabwe Chapter aims to use the Indaba to drive systemic change and promote national thought leadership, moving beyond localized training to empower women and girls in the digital economy.
