Beitbridge, Zimbabwe – Police have arrested a 46-year-old truck driver, Collette Mupozori, for allegedly raping a 20-year-old woman multiple times while transporting her from South Africa to Zimbabwe.
According to authorities, the victim’s mother had entrusted Mupozori with transporting her daughter, but he allegedly turned on her and committed the crime while still in South Africa.
The victim managed to record one of the incidents and sent it to her mother, who then alerted the South African Police. They, in turn, notified their Zimbabwean counterparts, leading to Mupozori’s interception and arrest at the Beitbridge Border
Mupozori is currently in police custody and will appear in court today.
This incident highlights the importance of vigilance and swift action in preventing and addressing crimes, particularly those involving vulnerable individuals.
