MASVINGO – The Masvingo High Court has granted bail to two of the three Midlands State University students arrested on August 8th for allegedly inciting violence against the government. A warrant of arrest has been issued for the third accused, who absconded.

The accused—Milton Muchayana (21), Anenyasha Moyo (22), and Langton Muhoma (22)—are alleged to have distributed inflammatory fliers on campus. The fliers contained a message declaring the ZANU PF government “illegitimate” and calling for its overthrow.

According to court proceedings, Muchayana is believed to have authored the message, which Moyo then printed. Muhoma was allegedly responsible for distribution.

Police, acting on a tip-off, intervened and confiscated 12 fliers as well as the printing equipment used.

The released defendants, Moyo and Muhoma, are scheduled to return to court on the 9th of October, 2025. Authorities are now searching for Muchayana after he failed to appear in court.
